Utterly Better

What we do—and what we deliberately do not do

Boundaries are not fine print designed to avoid care. They help us recognise when this service can be useful and when another kind of support is safer or more competent.

We offer

  • Structured reflection on an adult client's own situation.
  • Practical decision-making and option comparison.
  • Goal design, action planning and accountability.
  • Interview, conversation and scenario rehearsal.
  • General educational information and signposting.
  • Written non-clinical action plans.

We do not offer

  • Therapy, counselling, diagnosis, treatment, clinical assessment or crisis response.
  • Medical, psychiatric or medication advice.
  • Legal advice, representation or case management.
  • Regulated financial, investment, mortgage, insurance, debt or pension advice.
  • Tax or accountancy advice.
  • Domestic-abuse intervention, safeguarding investigations or emergency housing support.
  • Services for under-18s.
  • Contact, surveillance, persuasion or pressure directed at another person.
  • Academic cheating, assessed-work completion, employment guarantees or business guarantees.

A checkbox does not remove legal rights or replace our responsibility to act reasonably within the service we actually provide. It records the intended scope and helps route people away from an unsuitable service.
